About:

I wanted to depict what Graffiti is as an art form in the world of art. Growing up when it was just getting started and seeing how it evolved, I feel it never really got or gets the recognition it should in the art world. So this was the result of my thoughts on that.

Artist:

Location:

About:

I worked from a photo I shot while on vacation. I gave the background more boca - artists perogative. I think it needs more contrast and darker shading, so I may do some more work on it. I’d love to get your thoughts - thank you!

Monsters On My Mind | Pastels

Wednesday

Artist:
CarrieGlennStudios
Location:

About:

Pastel on paper.
A three nostriled monster eating snowboards, with snowboard boot laces made of space snakes eating up the stars, a mad frog of sorts creating insane math equations, a frightened space fish prepared with his built in protective mask and a wise old walrus snake reading studying and surveying.
To me they stand for, Power, Wisdom, Fear and Insanity. I imagine that they exist way beyond reality somewhere in space through a swirling sun shaped vortex. There is a bold and fresh feeling in my color and design that I hope are stimulating to your imagination as well and hopefully influential in keeping you young at heart!

About:

This is my first piece in pastel, I never really liked the idea of how messy it could get, so I guess that is why I just steered away from it, but I really liked doing it and the effects it gave.
any input on this medium would be welcome. maybe some tricks and stuff
